Segregated in St. Louis: Dismantling the Divide

In honor of the 50th anniversary of the Fair Housing Act, the public is invited to an all-day conference on housing, segregation, and health in St. Louis presented by For the Sake of All and the Metropolitan St. Louis Equal Housing Opportunity Commission (EHOC).

Richard Rothstein, author of The Color of Law: A Forgotten History of How Our Government Segregated America, will be the keynote speaker.

The conference will address findings in a new report on housing and segregation produced by For the Sake of All, EHOC, Arch City Defenders, Empower Missouri, Team TIF, Community Builders of Metro St. Louis, and others. Break-out sessions led by experts in the fields of fair housing, law, health, and equitable development will discuss the report's recommendations on ways to break down the divides that segregate our region and leave too many residents in neighborhoods of lesser opportunity that impair their well-being and chances for upward mobility.
